Wet, icy, and snow-packed spots are present from Eagle-Vail through Denver. Slower travel speeds will be encountered through Sunday morning ahead of normal travel speeds under dry conditions beginning Sunday afternoon.

Keep an eye on CDOT for the latest travel alerts and accident updates.

Forecast

The last 24 hours worked out as planned, with all areas picking up 2-6 inches. Sunday morning will start out cool and cloudy ahead of clearing skies and temps in the lower 30s by midday.

Mild and dry conditions will then continue through Wednesday. All road surfaces will remain clear and dry, with daytime highs in the 30s and overnight lows in the teens on the mountains.

Extended Forecast

The fun in the extended forecast starts on Thanksgiving as we have multiple storms moving through the west. The first storm will likely arrive on Thursday afternoon/evening, with light totals through Friday.

After a break on Friday, we'll turn to Saturday/Sunday for storm #2. This will likely be the stronger of the two Thanksgiving weekend storms so if you're searching for powder, aim for Saturday afternoon or more likely Sunday morning.

For travel, icy and snow-packed surfaces will return on Thursday night and into Friday morning and again from Saturday through Sunday/Monday. Plenty to watch between now and then!

Thanks for reading and look for my next update on Monday, November 19th.
