Following the storm on Saturday night, dry conditions and clear road surfaces prevailed on Sunday afternoon.

We'll now see mild and dry conditions, under sunny skies, continue along the corridor through Wednesday. Daytime highs will rise into the 30s, with overnight lows in the teens to low 20s on the mountains. All road surfaces will remain clear and dry.

The first of two storms will then begin to make its presence felt on Wednesday night and into Thursday. We'll be watching Thursday evening for the fun to begin along the corridor, with light to periods of moderate snow into Friday morning. 

In total, our first storm will likely not be a big snow producer but most areas should be looking at another round of light to moderate totals from Thursday evening through Friday morning.

Icy, slushy, and snow-packed road surfaces will form on Thursday evening and continue through midday Friday. Give yourself extra travel time if you're heading to the high country from the Front Range during this time. 

Following another break on Friday, storm #2 will target Colorado on Saturday and into Sunday. We'll need another day or two for the models to come into better agreement on the exact track of the storm but it does look stronger compared to storm #1.

Below is a look at the ensemble snow forecast for the Eisenhower Tunnel. Time goes from left to right on the bottom, with the two arrows on the right pointing to storm #1 and #2.

Expect travel impacts and road closures due to accidents over the weekend. Snow tires, AWD/4WD, and/or an alternative traction device will be needed to meet CDOT's passenger traction law so be ready!
