Summary

The weather pattern for most destinations will turn quieter over the next 10 days as we await the potential for stronger storms to return in early March. Canada, along with Grand Targhee and Jackson Hole, will be favored in the short-term.

Before jumping into the forecast, I wanted to quickly recap the historic week at Alta/Snowbird from February 15th through the 18th. Their 3-day snow total came to 64 inches and this brought their 7-day snow total to over 100 inches.

Better yet, the turns did not disappoint following two days of "Interlodge"...

Moving onto the forecast, it will be generally quiet across most destinations as very weak storms slide into North America. The one exception will once again be Revelstoke in the Canadian Rockies. If you're on the Canadian side of the border, get after it over the next few days!

Elsewhere, a sagging cold front will target Jackson Hole and Grand Targhee on Thursday (2/25), Friday (2/26), and into Saturday (2/27). This will be my powder pick for the upcoming period.

The runner-up pick will be Alta/Snowbird as they also should do fairly well through Saturday, February 27th.

As always, stay up-to-date with our team of local forecasters. They will provide you with excellent local analysis and really help you dial in the details with updates every morning.

Extended Forecast

Looking further ahead, we'll be watching for storms to potentially begin to target the West Coast during the first 5-10 days of March. This should bring better chances for healthier totals within the Intermountain West.

This would be great news as we enter the final 4-6 weeks of the season for many destinations. How crazy is that?! Take advantage of sliding on snow while you still can.

Thanks for reading! Next update on Wednesday, March 3rd.
