Sunny closing day for the Winter Park side

Summary

Saturday was a late-season powder day, and now Sunday's weather will be sunny and warmer, perfect for closing day on the Winter Park side.

Update

Saturday

Saturday offered 7-8 inches of late-season powder for first chair, and then the higher sun angle of April warmed the snow and created mixed/sloppier conditions - typical of spring!

Sunday

The storm is gone, and Sunday will be a beautiful day with sunny skies and a high temperature in the upper 30s to low 40s.

This is closing day for the Winter Park side, and the weather will be perfect for the pond skim and general revelry.

Longer Range

The upcoming week's weather will be mostly sunny and warm with high temperatures in the 40s.

We'll see typical spring conditions with firmer snow in the morning, transitioning to softer snow during the midday, and then slushier snow during the afternoon.

Snow will then return to the forecast with a fast-moving storm around Thursday, April 25 to Friday, April 26, and then the likelihood for more snow sometime between Saturday, April 27, and Monday, April 29.

While the Mary Jane side will stay open into May (yay!), I am wrapping up daily coverage and my final post of the season will be on Monday, April 22.
