Heavy snow, rain, and strong winds for the West

Summary

A well-advertised storm is impacting the West early this week with heavy, wet snow for the higher elevations and a transition from rain to snow for ski resort base areas. Additional weaker storms will bring snow to parts of the Northwest & Rockies mid to late week, then the pattern will shift next week with cooler and more unsettled weather for the East.
